There is an ancient Chinese proverb, which says, "It is better to light a single candle than to curse the darkness." Ten years ago,Shahrokh Ahkami saw a great darkness within the Persian-American community. He saw that those who ad done so much and had come so far had lost the memory of the distance they'd traveled. He saw that a people whose history extends back to the Persepolis had forgotten that history.
